Jana Boccalon
After a traditional educational and career journey, Jana embarked on a wild and bumpy ride of pursuing a lifelong dream of farming. Since then she’s been beekeeping, studying herbal medicine, learning to teach Pilates and Yoga, and pursuing a Ph.D. in Jungian & Archetypal Studies.
Jana has been practicing yoga and Pilates for the last 20 years, and decided to pursue formal training in those disciplines in 2021. She is passionate about the holistic care of the mind, body, and soul, and created Movement for Life as way to share her unique approach with her students and clients. She is supported by her beloved mentor, Mary Bowen, who is a Jungian Analyst, and the most senior Pilates elder who trained with Joseph and Clara Pilates.
You can find Jana reading, researching, and writing, and talking to the plants, insects, and animals she loves so dearly. She delights in creating sanctuary spaces and thriving habitats, and growing pollinator, native and medicinal plants. Imagine her as a diligent honeybee buzzing about and tending to the wellbeing of the hive.
